What is the truth?

Truth is not a feeling. Truth is not an idea. The truth is found in the Bible. The cults are wrong because they do not have the truth. That is, they have a false understanding of God the Father, of God the Son, of the Holy Spirit, and the work of Christ on the Cross. Because they are in error in these things, they are in error concerning the doctrine of salvation.

Sincerity and good works do not bridge the gap of sin between God and man. Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse a person (Heb. 9:22; John 14:6). Sincerity and good works are merely the reliance upon what is in the individual to merit favor with God. Sincerity is a form of pride when it is appealed to as a justification for being accepted by God: "But God, look at my heart. See how sincere I was? I deserve to be in heaven."

No. If sincerity and good works were good enough to satisfy God, then He wouldn't have given us the Bible to correct our sincerely wrong ideas, and He wouldn't have sent His Son to do what our good works cannot.

Truth is what God says is true.

Only One God
Christianity:
True Christian doctrine is that there is only one God who has ever existed anywhere, anyplace, anytime. There is no God formed before God; there will be no God formed after God (Isaiah 43:10). God doesn't even know of any other Gods (Isaiah 44:8). There is only one God in existence in the entire universe. Just one. This is called monotheism.

Mormonism:
The god of earth is only one of many, many gods (Bruce McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 163). This is called polytheism. However, they worship only one of the many gods, the one called Elohim. This is called monolatry.
Elohim (as the Mormons like to call the Father) used to be a man on another planet (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321). Elohim became a God and came to this world with his goddess wife (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443). Mormons have the potential of becoming gods of their own worlds (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pages 345-347, 354).
This contradicts the teachings of Scripture. Mormons are polytheists. Christianity is monotheistic. Mormonism is very wrong.

J.W.:
They believe in only one God (Make Sure of All Things, p 188). They call God "Jehovah." In this, the J.W.'s are correct. There is only one God.

The Trinity
Christianity:
God is a trinity of persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Father is not the same person as the Son. The Son is not the same person as the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not the same person as the Father. They all are eternal, divine, and omniscient.
Objections to the Trinity are that it is not logical. Logic should not rule Scripture. If it is from God, there will be things in it that are difficult to understand. Additionally, the fingerprints of God are seen all over creation. In Romans 1:20, it says that the invisible attributes of God are clearly seen in creation. Creation is made up of a trinity of trinities: time, space, and matter. Time is past, present, and future. Each "part" is different, yet they are all of the same nature: time. Space is height, width, and depth. Each "part" is different, yet they are all of the same nature: space. Matter is solid, liquid, and gas. Each "part" is different, yet they are all of the same nature: matter.

Mormonism:
The Trinity is an office held by three separate gods: a god called the father, a god called the son, and a god called the holy spirit. They error in assuming that a "person" must be in a fleshly form (Doctrine and Covenants, 130:22) -- something like flesh and blood.
This contradicts the orthodox view of the Trinity as well as teaching that there is more than one God (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8).

J.W.'s:
They deny the Trinity (Let God be True, p. 100-101; Make Sure of All Things, p.386). They say there is only one person in the Godhead: the Father.
They error in denying the truthful doctrine of the Trinity.

Jesus
Christianity:
Jesus is the second person of the Trinity. Jesus is both God and man. He is fully God and fully man (Col. 2:9). He was in the form of God, emptied Himself, and became a man (Phil. 2:5-8). As the God-man, He is the mediator (1 Tim. 2:5). Jesus was not created (John 1:1-3), but is the creator of all things (Col. 1:16-17).

Mormonism:
Jesus, the devil, and all of us are literal spirit children born in a pre-existence, the literal offspring of God the Father and his goddess wife (Mormon Doctrine p. 516; Journal of Discourse, Vol. 4, p. 218).

J.W.'s:
Jesus is Michael the Archangel who became a man, died on a stake -- not a cross -- rose in a spirit body, and returned to heaven to be an angel again (The Watchtower, May 15, 1963, p. 307; The New World, 284).
The problem here is that Jesus (Michael) would be a created thing. This is why the J.W. Bible adds the words "other" four times in Col. 1:16-17. The word "other" is not in the original text of the Bible.

Salvation
Christianity:
Salvation, or the forgiveness of sins, is something that is given to you by God. It is a free gift (Rom. 6:23). The sinner is made righteous in God's eyes solely by the faith that the believer has in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Justification, or being declared righteous, is accomplished by faith (Rom. 5:1). Our works play no part in salvation. If our works could play any part at all, then Jesus died needlessly (Gal. 2:21).

Mormonism:
The doctrine of the forgiveness of sins in Mormonism is that you are saved by grace after all you can do (Article 8 of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 92). They add to the finished work of Christ on the cross and say that Jesus made it possible for us to be forgiven. Our works must be mixed with the finished work of Christ and then our forgiveness of sins is merited before God.
This error is that works play a part in our salvation, our forgiveness of sins. They do not. In Galatians chapters 3 and 5, Paul addressed the issue and condemned the thought of keeping even one part of the Law in order to be righteous with God. Salvation is a free gift, paid for by the blood of Christ.

J.W.'s:
Forgiveness of sins is by good works and cooperation with God (Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 1, pp. 150, 152). They maintain that the sacrifice of Jesus (really Michael the archangel) opened the door that Adam closed. In other words, because of Jesus' sacrifice you are able to cooperate with God and earn salvation.
The error here is the same as that in Mormonism listed above. Works do not play a part in our salvation. They come after we are saved, not before, and not in cooperation with anything. To add to the work of Christ is to say that what Jesus did on the cross isn't enough. This is an insult to God.

Conclusion
The truth is important not because it is simply true. It is important because truth is what defines who and what we believe in. Is Jesus the brother of the devil as in Mormonism? Is he an angel who became a man? Or, is He the creator of the universe, second person of the Trinity? Only one is right.

Faith is vital. But faith placed in something false is the same as having no faith at all. Faith is only as good as the object in which it is placed. That is why it is important to have the true Jesus. The one of the Bible, not the one of Mormonism, nor the one of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Eternity is a long time to be wrong. Especially about Jesus.

Here's a good article about Islam

Islam; a false god, a false prophet, a false message.

AGAINST ISLAM

If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt, (10:94)
Muslims don't trust the Quran?
"...and He sent down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus)..."; (Quran, 3:3). "...there is none that can alter the words (and decrees) of Allah..." (Quran, 6:34). -- The Muslims say Allah's words were changed by saying the Gospels are corrupt!!!! That means they do not believe the Quran!
They will say that God's word is never changed, but the Bible is changed. They say it used to be completely true, but now it has truth combined with error. If that is so, then why do they quote it when it is convenient for them?
The Muslims will say the Bible is valid when it agrees with the Quran but they will say it is wrong when it contradicts the Quran.

The fact is that Muslims don't believe what Jesus said about Himself. They say the Bible is corrupt, but who corrupted it and when was it corrupted? If you don't know, then don't say it.
Why is it that the Muslims continue to repeat the same old stuff that has already been answered so many times? Are they not interested in the truth? Or, are the just interested in repeating the same old errors?

Quran
What is the real Quran? "Hudhaifa was afraid of their differences in the recitation of the Qur'an...Uthman sent to every Muslim province one copy of what they had copied, and ordered that all the other Qur'anic materials, whether written in fragmentary manuscripts or whole copies, be burnt. (Hadith, Vol. 6, Book 61, #510)

(http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/061.sbt.html Narrated Anas bin Malik.)

If there were so many other copies that were destroyed, then we have no way of knowing what the real Quran said.
Contradictions in the Quran

Can Allah have a son?

Yes: "If Allah desire to take a son to Himself, He will surely choose those He pleases from what He has created. Glory be to Him: He is Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all)," (Quran 39:4).

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/039.qmt.html

No: "Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things," (Quran 6:101).

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/006.qmt.html

Scientific problems in the Quran
Sperm comes from the chest of a man: "Now let man but think from what he is created! He is created from a drop emitted-Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs," (Quran 86:5-7).

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/086.qmt.html

Ask the Muslim if the testicles of a man in his chest? This obviously says sperm comes from the chest.
The verse refers to a "drop". A drop is separated from a larger body of liquid. Drops are not in the human body, but outside of it. Therefore, the verse is not about testicles, but the semen/sperm mixture that has left the body during sexual intercourse. This is an obvious and blatant error.
In Islam, if ONE thing is wrong in the Quran, then Islam is false because the Quran is supposed to be perfect, from Allah, etc. But, since the Quran teaches that sperm comes from a man's chest (Quran 86:5-7), then this proves that Islam is false.
The sun set in murky water: "Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness," (Quran 18:86).

Birds can talk: "And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)" (Quran 27:16).
"And Solomon was David's heir. And he said: O mankind! Lo! we have been taught the language of birds, and have been given (abundance) of all things. This surely is evident favour," (Quran 27:16, Pickthall, trans.).
Ants can talk: "At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it," (Quran 27:18).
"Till, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant exclaimed: O ants! Enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies crush you, unperceiving," (Quran 27:18, Pickthal, trans.).

Shooting stars are for driving away evil spirits: "And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire," (Quran 67:5).
That is not what shooting stars are for. They aren't "for" anything. They are small objects in space burning up in our atmosphere.
There are 7 heavens and 7 earths! "Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge," (Surah 65:12).
Historical Problems in the Quran
Crucifixion before it was invented: "Pharaoh said: Ye believe in Him before I give you leave! Lo! this is the plot that ye have plotted in the city that ye may drive its people hence. But ye shall come to know! 124 Surely I shall have your hands and feet cut off upon alternate sides. Then I shall crucify you every one," (Quran 7:123-124).
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/007.qmt.html

Crucifixion wasn't invented until around 600 B.C., by the Phoenicians. The Egyptians didn't crucify anyone because it hadn't been invented yet. Muhammad didn't get this right when he made up this verse.
Mary is the sister of Aaron and Moses: "Then she brought him to her own folk, carrying him. They said: O Mary! Thou hast come with an amazing thing. 28 O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a wicked man nor was thy mother a harlot (Quran 19:27-28).
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/019.qmt.html

Mary was not the sister of Aaron. Aaron was Moses' brother who lived many many hundreds of years before Mary. Muhammad didn't understand the Bible very well when he made that verse up.
Hadith - the deeds and sayings of Muhammad. Very important in Islam.
Adam was made 90 feet tall. Allah made Adam 60 cubits high (generally a cubit was 18 inches. Therefore, Adam was 90 feet tall) The Prophet said, "Allah created Adam, making him 60 cubits tall. (Hadith, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 543, Narrated Abu Huraira.)
Muhammad is ordered by Allah to fight all people until they worship Allah. "Allah's Apostle said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah." (Hadith, Vol 1, Book 2, # 24) Narrated Ibn 'Umar.)
Jesus said in John 13:35, "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
Don't pass wind while praying: "Allah's Apostle said, 'The angels keep on asking Allah's forgiveness for anyone of you, as long as he is at his Mu,salla (praying place) and he does not pass wind (Hadath). They say, 'O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! be Merciful to him." - (Hadith, Vol. 1, Book 8, # 436)
Eph. 1:7, "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace."
A man slept through prayer time and the devil peed in his ear: "It was mentioned before the Prophet that there was a man who slept the night till morning (after sunrise). The Prophet said, 'He is a man in whose ears (or ear) Satan had urinated.'" (Hadith Vol. 4, Book 54, #492)

Jihad - Holy Struggle
The Qur'an tells muslims to kill and go to war to fight for Islam: Surah 2:191; 2:193; 3:118; 4:75,76; 5:33, 8:12; 8:65; 9:5; 9:73,123; 33:60-62.
Fight for Allah: "And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers, (Quran 2:191).
Muslims are to battle for Allah: "Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil. Lo! the devil's strategy is ever weak," (Quran 4:76).
Kill those against Islam: "The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter," (Quran 5:33).
Beheading: "When thy Lord inspired the angels, (saying): I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will throw fear into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then smite the necks and smite of them each finger. 13That is because they opposed Allah and His messenger. Whoso opposeth Allah and His messenger, (for him) lo! Allah is severe in punishment," (Quran 8:12).
Allah urges war: "O Prophet! urge the believers to war; if there are twenty patient ones of you they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a hundred of you they shall overcome a thousand of those who disbelieve, because they are a people who do not understand," (Quran 8:65).
Slay non-muslims: "Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful," (Quran 9:5).
Allah urges war: "O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination," (Quran 9:73).
Allah urges war: "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil)," (Quran 9:123).
Allah urges killing: "...the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease and the agitators in the city do not desist... 61Cursed: wherever they are found they shall be seized and murdered, a (horrible) murdering. 62(Such has been) the course of Allah with respect to those who have gone before; and you shall not find any change in the course of Allah, (Quran 33:60-62).
Beheading: "Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens..." (Quran 47:4).
Allah loves those who fight for him. "Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure," (Surah 61:4).
Kill the Muslim who leaves Islam: "...for the Prophet said, 'If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him,'" (Hadith Vol. 4, Book 52, #260).

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/052.sbt.html
Also, see Volume 9, Book 84, Number 64, Narrated 'Ali.
Jihad gets you paradise: "Allah's Apostle said, "Allah guarantees (the person who carries out Jihad in His Cause and nothing compelled him to go out but Jihad in His Cause and the belief in His Word) that He will either admit him into Paradise (Martyrdom) or return him with reward or booty he has earned to his residence from where he went out," (Hadith Vol. 9, Book 93, # 555).
Muhammad
Magic worked on Muhammad. How can that be if he is a prophet? "Magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing a thing which he was not actually doing," (Hadith, Vol. 4, Book 54, #490).
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/054.sbt.html
Muhammad was a white man: "While we were sitting with the Prophet in the mosque, a man came riding on a camel. He made his camel kneel down in the mosque, tied its foreleg and then said: "Who amongst you is Muhammad?"...We replied, "This white man reclining on his arm." The an then addressed him, "O Son of 'Abdul Muttalib." (Hadith Vol. 1, book 3, #63)

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/003.sbt.html. Narrated Anas bin Malik.
Muhammad owned a black slave: "I came and behold, Allah's Apostle was staying on a Mashroba (attic room) and a black slave of Allah's Apostle was at the top if its stairs. I said to him, "(Tell the Prophet) that here is 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (asking for permission to enter)." Then he admitted me," (Hadith, Vol. 9, Book 91, #368).

http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/091.sbt.html
Muhammad had people killed: "Allah's Apostle entered Mecca in the year of its Conquest wearing an Arabian helmet on his head and when the Prophet took it off, a person came and said, "Ibn Khatal is holding the covering of the Ka'ba (taking refuge in the Ka'ba)." The Prophet said, "Kill him," (Hadith, Vol. 3, Book 29, #72).
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/029.sbt.html Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Muhammad was a sinner: "The Prophet said, "I say, O Allah! Set me apart from my sins (faults) as the East and West are set apart from each other and clean me from sins as a white garment is cleaned of dirt (after thorough washing). O Allah! Wash off my sins with water, snow and hail," (Hadith Vol. 1, Book 12, #711).
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/hadithsunnah/bukhari/012.sbt.html Narrated Abu Huraira:
Muhammad taught lying was okay. "Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him [Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf]?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it," (Hadith Vol. 5, Book 59, #369).

Salvation

"Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 102Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 103 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide," (23:101-103).
Women

Voluptuous women await Muslim men in paradise. "Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfillment of (the heart's) desires; Gardens enclosed, and grapevines, And voluptuous women of equal age," (Quran, 78:31-33).
It is okay to beat wives: "As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (Next), refuse to share their beds, (And last) beat them (lightly)..." (Quran, 4:34).
Eph. 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; 26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word."

Muslim men may marry up to four women, but no such provision is made for Muslim women: "Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice," (Surah 4:3).
Other
Don't take Jews and Christians as friends: "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people," (Quran 5:51).
In Surah 5:5 it says a Muslim can marry Christians and Jews, but Surah 5:51 says you cannot have Jews and Christians as friends... how does that work?
The soul exits through the collar-bone when leaving the body. "Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 27And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 28And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting," (Surah 75:26-28).
Drink Camel Urine as medicine: Some people from the tribe of 'Ukl came to the Prophet and embraced Islam. The climate of Medina did not suit them, so the Prophet ordered them to go to the (herd of milch) camels of charity and to drink, their milk and urine (as a medicine). Hadith, Vol. 8, Book 82, # 794

ANSWERING ATTACKS FROM ISLAM

The Bible is full of contradictions
Saying the Bible is full of contradictions does not mean it is so. Can you provide a contradiction that we can examine in context? There are many websites that address alleged contradictions. Here is one: www.carm.org.
The Quran says that none of the revelations of Allah are forgotten (2:106), that none can alter the words of Allah (6:34), that none can change Allah's words (6:115; 10:64). Do you then believe the Bible has been changed?
Jesus never said, "I am God. Worship me."

True, but Jesus also never said, "I am a prophet," or "I am a man. Do not worship me." You do not make a doctrine out of what Jesus did NOT say. You make it out of what He DID say. Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM."
Jesus also never said, "I am a prophet of Allah." Yet that is what you claim. There is more than one way to claim to be God in flesh. In fact, Jesus is called God in John 20:28.  Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM," (John 8:58). Compare with Exodus 3:14 where God say, "I AM that I AM." The Jews wanted to kill Jesus for saying that (John 8:59). They wanted to kill Him because He claimed to be God (John 10:33).

POINTS

The God of Islam is not holy.

The God of Islam is not holy because it accepts the sin-touched repentance and sin-touched sincerity of Muslims for forgiveness of their sins. The God of Christianity does not accept them because He is too holy to accept their sin-touched efforts. The God of Christianity provides what sinful man cannot: the cleansing of our sins by HIS work (on the cross), not man's.
Is Allah Holy? Yes.
Do Muslims sin? Yes.
Can a Muslim perform works (i.e., sincerity of belief and repentance from sin) that is pure and holy in himself generated by himself?
Yes, we can generate a work that is pure and holy.
So a Muslim who has sinned can generate out of his heart, where sin comes from, sincerity and repentance that is pure and holy?
If the heart is the source of evil against God, how can it also be the source of holiness and purity.
A human, who has sinned, can produce his own purity and holiness?
Yes.
Now that you don't want to do it means that it is pure and holy? It only means you don't want to do it? That doesn't mean you are holy and pure.
Would you say that holiness is a quality of purity, sinlessness, and absolute perfection that God possesses?
Can Allah sin? No because he is pure and holy, right?
If Yes,
Then does man also possess it
a Muslim can, out of the goodness of his own, produce holiness and purity.
Is your sincerity of belief in Allah and your repentance from sin touched, in ANY way, by any of the sin that is in your own heart or are they completely pure and holy?
So Allah accepts the
The God of Islam cannot perform the greatest act of love.
The God of Christianity performs the greatest act of love by dying for those whom he saves. Jesus (the 2nd person of the Trinity) said the greatest act of love is to die for another (John 15:13). Jesus died for us. So, the God of Christianity can perform the greatest act of love, but the God of Islam cannot. Therefore, the God of Christianity is greater in love than the god of Islam.
What is the greatest act of love?
Jesus said it was to lay one's life down for his friends. In John 15:13 Jesus said, "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."
Can Allah perform the greatest act of love? No.
Didn't Muhammad steal from Caravans? Didn't Muhammad kill many many people? Didn't Muhammad destroy people and villages? Hmmm... Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly," (John 10:10).
